National Navy/Marine Intruder Reunion - San Diego

99 Intruders, Important Website Notice

Minutes of BOD Meeting, Norfolk, VA

INTRUDER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND

At the Intruder Association reunion in San Diego I announced a new effort to raise $40K to provide a perpetual $2K scholarship through the Tailhook Association. This scholarship will last after the last Intruder makes that last trap.

When I announced the effort at the reunion banquet, I used my simple math and that is $100 times 400 members equals $40K. One of our members got up from his seat and asked what are we waiting for? I have the first $100. Ten minutes later when calm was restored, we had $4,600 in a bowl. Friends we are 11% to the goal and have yet to get started. $25 or $50 works and we will have some of our members contribute $200 or a $1,000.

We will make it and if we exceed the goal, Tailhook will increase the amount of the grant. College costs are rising by unreasonable amounts, so let us all help to aid a child or grandchild of an Intruder get a higher education.

All donations are tax deductible and you can either pay online, and use the block for the scholarship fund on the Renew page, or send a check made out to the "Intruder Association" and send it to:

Geoff Swanberg
3504 Beaver Ford Road
Woodbridge, VA 22192

Please annotate that it is for the Intruder Scholarship.

If you have any questions contact Steve McCaslin at secretary@intruderassociation.org.

Thank you,

Mac McDanel
