Fellow Intruders,

In
just a few weeks, T Lad Webb, will be completing his term as our Intruder
Association President.� Under T Lad�s leadership, we have seen many
successful reunions, the growth of our Intruder Tribute program, and the
expansion of our Scholarship Fund � and these are just a few of his many
notable successes.� On T Lad�s watch, the Association has matured into a
well organized group in which Navy and Marine Corps Intruders have bonded to
share common goals, a widely increased public awareness of the Intruder
aircraft, and a fraternity of friends and shipmates who regularly meet to share
stories and fellowship.� To say that the filling of his shoes will be
difficult, is a huge understatement.� However, the time has come to select
his replacement.

Several
possible candidates for the position have been contacted and vetted.� One
candidate has emerged and is on the ballot.� Mike �Snake� Novak has been
very active among the DC Area Intruders and is a regular attendee at our
biennial reunions.� A former Bombardier/Navigator, Snake comes to us from
Northrop Grumman where he is currently the Corporate Director for Naval
Aviation Programs. His attached biography speaks volumes, and you will find him
to be eminently qualified for the position of President of the Intruder
Association.

In
accordance with our By-Laws and Administrative Manual, the President must be
elected by a majority of the membership at-large.� Normally, the balloting
ends on the first day of our biennial reunion with the election occurring
during the Saturday morning business meeting.� This year, due to the
pandemic and resulting reunion date change, we are unable to conduct this
business at the reunion.� Instead, we are polling the membership at-large
via email.� Since Mike will be running unopposed, your voting responsibility
is simply to vote �Yes� if you are in favor of electing Mike to be our Intruder
Association President, �No� if you are opposed to selecting Mike, or �Write-in�
if you wish to name somebody else to fill the position.� A simple majority
will be needed to select our President from the votes received.� Voting
instructions are as follows:

To
cast your vote for Intruder Association President as described above, simply
reply to this email and state �Yes�, �No�, or �Write-in�.� If you select
�Write-in�, you must also provide the name of the individual you would prefer
to select.� All votes must be received not later than midnight PDT on 30
April (as that would have been the closing time of our ballot had we been at
our reunion in San Diego).� Final results of the election will be posted
within seven days.
